Julie Merrill

PT, OCS, ATC, CMTPT

Background

Julie graduated from the University of Vermont in 1987 with a BS degree in physical therapy (PT). In 1988, she became a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC). She began her career in Boston then moved to Anchorage in 1990, working in various acute care and outpatient settings. Looking for new and exciting challenges, she created Transform Physical Therapy, LLC in 2014.

Experience

Julie has dedicated herself to completing thousands of hours of continuing education over the years. She is board certified by the American Physical Therapy Association in orthopedics (OCS). In 2013, she completed coursework with Myopain Seminars and earned certification as a myofascial trigger point therapist (CMTPT). She has been an member of the APTA since college and in 1995 joined the Section of Women’s Health. In 2011, she completed the Discover Physio Series adopting the highly successful Integrated Systems Model (ISM) into her physical therapy practice.

When Julie is not Working

To balance life out a bit, she keeps busy pursuing outdoor activities, traveling, and enjoying time with family and friends.
